Gladiola will commemorate the release of their second album, There is No Road, with a CD release show on Friday, April 18 at the Midway Cafe in Jamaica Plain. Gladiola will play smack in the middle of a five-band bill that also features two California acts, Andy Frasco and Broke on Friday, and two fellow Boston bands, Plumerai and Make Ready; Gladiola’s set will start at 10. The show is 21+ and the cover is $7.

Two Gladiola songs, “Waiting for a Ride” and “Leaving Trains” appear in Cellular Breakdown, a new short film by indie filmmaker Peter X. Septoff. The film is “about a man who finds his increasingly frayed connection to society only further damaged by the very technology intended to connect us.” Learn more about it here.
